Aloo Paratha Puffs

Aloo paratha have always been comfort food. Stuffing the potatoes into a puff pastry took them to a new level. The flaky crunchy exterior opens up to warm spices mixed with potatoes. The puff pastry makes it instantly festive perfect for the holidays! You can serve this as an appetizer or a delicious meal.

 

Recipe: Makes about 24 puffs

Ingredients:

6 Potatoes

1 Onions diced

1 tsp Thai Green Chili finely diced

1/2 inch piece Ginger grated

1/4 Cup Cilantro finely chopped

1 tsp Salt

5/8 Tsp Garam Masala

1/8 Tsp Cumin Seeds

1/4 Tsp Red Chili Powder

1 pack of Puff Pastry


Method:

1. Boil the potatoes and mash them. I pressure cook mine in the instant pot for 12 minutes.

2. Mash the potatoes and added in the onion, green chilies, ginger, cilantro, salt, garam masala, cumin seeds and red chili powder.

3. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

4. Stuff the mixture into the puff pastry. Making sure to seal the edges of the puff pastry

5. Bake the puff pastry until they are slightly brown in color. Then broil for 2 minutes for maximum crispiness!

Enjoy after cooling for a couple of minutes!
